You must have a general interest in fashion and be knowledgeable about fashion history and trends. Finally, one should aim for a degree that contains academic, theory related study but one that also has practical elements fashion design and allows for the possibility of work experience before going and doing the real thing.

If you can be more competitive than the rest of the class as these teachers could provide those useful references for later on in life and so impressing now is important.

Academic degree study can be vital to anyone's future, but practical experience is necessary.
