FIBROID: TUMOURS IN WOMEN

A HIDDEN EPIDEMIC
Fibroid are growth of tissue that are usually found in the wall of uterus or womb. They are made of a mixture muscle tissue from the uterus and threadlike fibre of connective tissue. Although they are called tumors, fibroid are not cancerous.
Fibroids are very common. They occur in 2 or 3 out of every 10 women over age 35. Although women in their 20s do sometimes have them.

It’s common to have more than one fibroid; some women may have as many as a hundred. Fibroids can be small as a pin point or as large as a basketball. They are usually round or oval in shape, like a ball or an egg. Their texture is firm, like an unripe peach.

Fibroid can grow in different part of the uterus. They are named according to which part of uterus they are found.

Fibroid that grow inside the wall of the uterus are called intramural fibroid. They are the most common type of fibroid.

Fibroid that grows outside the wall of he uterus into the abdominal cavity are called subserous or subserosal fibroid.

Fibroid that grow inward from the uterine wall, taking up space within the cavity of the uterus, are called submucous submucosal fibroids.

Fibroid that is attached to the uterus by a thin stalk is called a pedunculated fibroid.
What causes Fibroid?

A fibroid starts as a single muscle cell in the uterus, for reason that are not known, his cell changes into a fibroid tumor cells and starts to grow and multiply. Heredity may be a facor. It is thought that a muscle cell in the uterus maybe ‘programmed ‘from birth to develop into a fibroid sometime-perhaps many years after puberty (the start of menstrual period). After puberty, the overies produce more hormones especially estrogen to grow, although exactly how this might happen is not understood.

SYMPTOMS OF FIBROIDS
For many women, fibroid cause no problems. More than half of woman with fibroid do not know they have them until their doctor tells them. The most common problems caused by fibroid are:
Heavy or long menstrual periods. Period may last more than seven days and menstrual flow may be very heavy. Heavy menstrual low can sometimes lead to anemia.
Pressure on other organs. Large fibroid may press on organ in the pelvis, a basin shaped cavity in the lower abdomen, containing a bladder, bowel and reproductive organs.
If fibroid press on the bladder: a woman may feel the urge to urinate frequently, she may pass only small amount of urine and she may feel as though has not completely emptied her bladder.
If fibroid press on the bowel, she may feel constipated, suffering from difficult, painful or infrequent movement of the bowels, or full after eating only a small amount of food.

If fibroid press on one or both ureters (the tubes connecting the kidney to the bladder) they may partially block the flow of urine. A woman may not be aware of his because its often isn’t painful. Overtime, however this kind of blockage can lead kidney infection or other serious damage.
Pain in the pelvic: the pressure of large fibroid on other organs may cause pain in the pelvis. Sometimes, if fibroid do not get blood flow they need to sustain themselves, they degenerate or die. This may cause severe pain lasting for days or weeks. Pain may also occur if the stalk of a fibroid twist, cutting off blood supply to the fibroid. Rarely, a fibroid may become infected and cause pain.

DIET
Stay away from caffeine, high fibre diet foods are good or taking the excess estrogen from our body through the colon, if no it will re-enter your blood stream. Stay away from conventionally processed meats, beef especially, and eat organic meat.

Treatments
The treatment offered for fibroid will depend on whether or not the fibroid are causing any problem. Surgery is one of the treatments available for fibroid that are causing pain, heavy or lengthy menstrual bleeding or other problems. The two kinds of surgery most commonly performed are hysterectomy and myomectomy.
To use drugs or surgery treatment does not nothing to get rid of the causes, but only cures he symptoms. It means that the fibroids can still re-grow after a short period and as well come wih side effects like vaginal dryness, irregular vaginal bleeding, headaches, thinning of the hair, pain in the bones, joints and muscles, sleep problem and mood changes, loss of sex drive.
But with my own specially formulated remedy. The treatment is permanent with no side effect. I have treated women with fibroid for just three month with proper monitoring and proper administration, the tumor disappear and never re-grow.

THE CURRENT POLICY ON EDUCATION IN NIGERIA

The need for a national policy on education came about as a result of the 1996 National Curriculum Conference which was attended by a cross-section of Nigerians. The conference was a culmination of expressions of general dissatisfaction with the existing education system which had become irrelevant to national needs, aspirations and goals. After the National Curriculum Conference, a seminar of expert drawn from a wide range of interest groups within Nigeria was convened in 1973. The seminar, which includes voluntary agencies and external bodies, deliberated on what a national policy on education for an independent and sovereign Nigeria should be. The outcome of the seminar was a draft document which, after due comments were received from the states and other interest groups, led to the final document, the National Policy on Education, first published in 1997. Since the published of the first edition in 1997, the 2nd and 3rd editions were published in 1981 and 1998 respectively in keepi
